The A.B.C

A for Aeroplane
B for Block
C for Castle

Nahh~

ABC for this post stand for Air Batu Campur or Air Kacang = Mixed Ice(literally meaning). ABC is among the favourite dessert in a sunny day. It is also common in Singapore, Brunei and Indonesia.

Manual Block Ice Shaver

During the old days, they usually used the metal machine/manual blocks ice shaver and they have to role it by hand. Compared to this days, complete with the modern technology, there are lots of ice shaving machine in market such as:

Hand Blender - Small Cube Ice Only

Electric Ice Shaver

This is what we have at home. Kak Yatie, who just went back from Japan, gave us this stuff as a souvenir.
(Thank you!)

 Modern Ice Shaver?

"Formerly, it was made of only shaved ice and red beans, though the number and diversity of ingredients has since expanded. Today, ais kacang generally comes in bright colours, and with different fruit coctails and dressings.

In Malaysia, almost all variants now contain a large serving, red beans, sweet corn, grass jelly and cubes of agar-agar as a common ingredients. Other less-common ingredients include aloe vera, cendol, nata de coco or ice cream. A final topping of evaporated milk, condensed milk, or coconut milk is drizzled over the mountain of ice along with red syrup, sarsi syrup or gula melaka syrup. Some stalls have even introduced novelty topping such as durian, chocolate syrup and ice cream." - Wikipedia

My dongseng(little brother) and I do compete to each other to produce the best ABC last week. Which both taste the same because we are using the same kind of ingredients.

Personality

" You are a generous and moral (not to confuse with moralizing) person. You always work on self-improvement. You are very ambitious and have very high standards. People might think that communicating with you is difficult, but for you, it isn't easy to be who you are. You work very hard but you are not in the least selfish. You work because you want to improve the world. You have a great capacity to love people until they hurt you. But even after they do...you keep loving. Very few people can appreciate everything you do as well as you deserve..."

Ramadhan and Memory

Ramadhan Al-Mubarak

Different feeling I felt from celebrating Ramadhan while having to experience  it in others country. . The most unforgettable moment while celebrating Ramadhan is went I was in Indonesia. Yes, Indonesia is not on my first list to live in it which I do much prefer my country itself. But being parts of it before is such an amazing story to have. Thank you ;)

Saya Sayang Malaysia - "NegaraKu Tanah Tumpahnya DarahKu"

I am 11(1999) during Mak being post to Jakarta. The five of us moved to Jakarta and stay at our own Malaysian Embassy;
Malaysian Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia

Kav.X/6, No. 1-3 Kuningan

Indonesia

Hana posted this photo at FB, me was not in it. Hahaha...

Ramadhan celebrations in Jakarta feels me with joys. My friend(Hana, Mastura, Kak Sofea and Kak Ika) and I will be make sure that we are not going to waste our time in that month of Holy. But let me introduce my energatic Hana first. She is 1 years younger than me, but she is very helpful and intelligence plus very charming to whom ever she mingle around with. Sorry guys, bad news for you. She's married and last month(July 2013), she has delivered a cutey baby girl name Nur Farisya Iman.

Alo! Je m'appelle Nur Farisya Iman (Sources : FB)

Hana & Hubby - Lovely Couple <3 (source : FB )

Back to the story:
This is our schedule during Ramadhan. Check it out!

5.00 : Wake up & Sahur
5.30 : Gather at the Mosque & Subuh prayer perform
5.45 : Parent going back to home, while us, the teenagers, hangout at the playground located in the center of the apartment, wearing pajama and slipper. (Some bring along their towel to cover their body from morning coldness)
6.00 : Story telling started with Kak Sofea who likes to tells us about ghost story happens in her dormitory back in Malaysia. To excited to listen makes us sometimes feels that "the things" are staring at us  during that time. Hahaha...I'm telling you, Malaysian Embassy at Jakarta is the ex-burial ground. Some of the big trees are forbidden to cut down because "the things" will disturb your life. erk!
7.00 : Change our uniform to sport attire and will be joining one of Uncle to jog around the Embassy. It is fun because we can jog out of the embassy compound and from there we can learn how the Indonesian live their life. Respect!
8.00 : Back to home & sleep.

1.30 : Zuhur prayer as usual perform at the mosque. Tadarus with whom attend the course. Ustaz Makrus will conducted the course by asking us to read 2 pages each and keep rotating clock-wise to finish 1-2 juzuk.
2.30 : Back to home and watch TV or Zzzzzz~
4.30 : Asar prayer and Tadarus.
5.30 : Playing baseball or Soccer-Baseball or Tennis-Bowling or Tennis or Basketball or Netball or Squash or went to Gym or Hide & Seek or searching for the frog's egg inside the pond or walking around the Embassy or explore hidden place in the Embassy(recommended). Though we are girls, but we prefer to play something that is challenging and makes us sweat.
6.30 : Home
7.00 : Fast breaking - Homemade dish - Yummy! Maghrib by own.
8.00 : Gather back at the mosque for Isha' prayer. Later perform Tarawikh for 8 rakaat.
10.00 : Moreh (Some of the Jemaah bring along the food such as Kuih muih, Mee Goreng and etc to serve other jemaah)
10.30 : Continue with Tadarus up to 1-2 juzuk.
11.00 : Home sweet Home. (For parent only, while us still playing and story telling at the information desk until one of us sleepy and all of us going home)

Packed was it?

Friday is a special day for everyone during Ramadhan because we will break our fast together in the big hall. Kids are excited because will meet other kids who stay outside from the embassy. We gather and spent time together playing. Mommies and Daddies joining the Islamic forum and us children play Hide and Seek. The hall is too big and it is double-storey building completed with podium, chairs, curtains, air conditioning and etc. Usually we will divide the team by gender because both the teams are strong.

Top 10 Productive Ramadhan

The first year celebrating Ramadhan at the Embassy, we are allowed to play firework. But due to some conspiracy, it's been banned.

But its not a big deal for us as we can still playing around and be happy as always...To bring back the memory was such a pleasure for me. The sweetness of it never fade thought it's already happen past 12 years ago. Be there with my friend, seek for our time together with playing, studying and lepak-ing will kept deep down in my heart. Thank you friend. Thank you Memories, Thank you Jakarta, Thank you Ramadhan...Till we meet again next year...InsyaAllah.

For the newbie plus reminder for the other and for myself too. ;)

Pasar Malam - Kisah disebalik TaBir

Peristiwa ni dah jadi last 2 weeks. Untuk pengetahuan, ada pasar malam yang wujud kat belakang rumah (not exacly belakang rumah ; 3 minute by bikes). 2 hari; Isnin & Jumaat masa operasinya. Nak dijadikan cerita, hari tu my family & I akan turun ke JB, so I tak la nak masak meriah sangat macam biasa. In the end masak Nasi Goreng Bujang je. My cousin datang dari Tg. Malim, Perak. My huge family sangat ringan tulang. Proud of them. MUCH!

Akhirnya setelah mengambil masa dalam 10 minit begitu, si anak bersetuju untuk mengambil earphone ciplak Made in China Dr.Dre Beats.

I can see clearly, inside the father's wallet, the remaining items left only the old and nearly vanish receipt plus a little bit coins and a few of RM 1 notes.

Pengajaran untuk semua I guess. No offense.

Terdetik dihati, mampukah si anak membalas jasa si ayah?

Amin...

DUO - LeeSsang Gil & Gary

Yeah, not to mention, my current obsession is the LeeSsang's (Hangul

South Korean Hip-Hop Duo

This Duo consist of Gary & Gil. Both are not that really good looking but still, they are a very down-to-earth type of person. I start to admire them since my "debut" with a show called Running Man. Their song's are great and awesome. Most of it is inspired from their life experience.

They have known each other since 1997 if I am not mistaken. They struggle from the bottom and now, they greatly success.

With the gift given, Gary knows how to express his feeling from the songs. He is the Korean Eminem. He is willing to learn new thing, faces the problem ahead him and Gil. They are both good in their respective variety show (Kang Gary in Running Man & Gil in Infinite Challenge)

Some of Gary's quote :
"Although you may be hurt and bleeding now, a better day will come . Hard work will never betray you" - (Kang Gary, 2011)

"Love can't be earned"

"We'll never win against our own greed"

For this Duo, I do really hope they can inspired people outside about in struggling in life, be the roles model for the youngster, stay in a good shape and wish they will live humbly as always.

I once looked via Youtube about their past fashion. Hahaha, it does amaze me on how they gradually change from the past. Lucky, right now, they have sense in fashion but still their power, skill, attitude never fade away.

ANZALNA, 2013

"Memang saya tidak nafikan, sejak bergelar artis, ada yang cuba mendekati, tapi saya sedaya upaya mengelak. Walaupun cuma untuk keluar makan tengahari atau makan malam, saya akan tolak. Bagi saya, jika kita melayan, ia akan menjadi titik permulaan untuk terjebak dengan skandal..."

Paint The BALL

"Le paintball est une activité sportive opposant deux équipes dont les joueurs sont équipés de masques de protection et de lanceurs (ou marqueurs). Les lanceurs propulsent par air comprimé ou par CO2 des billes de peinture de calibre 0.68 ou de 0.50 et de 0.43 et de 0.40." (Wiki, 2013)

Yes,

Currently, we like to play paintballs. Because we're working 24/7, the only day that we can enjoy together is Sunday, though we open up till 3pm... And this happen last 2 weeks, where as usual, I'm quite lazy to update my post. Desole.

So, here is our act, CHECK IT OUT!:

Our session begins with the explaination from the paintball crew. Ijoy & Abg Syuaib shows that they're a good listener here!

Kak D : Daydreaming or Sleeping. Guess what?

Starting point from Team Abg Rashid.

The field are made with International standards.

We're coming in. Watch out!

Abg Rashid Team vs Abg Khairul Team

The Black Team, aha~ Ijoy teams always become the loser.

First half - fuhh!

Line up to take the "weapon", face mask, & paintball vase.

Second-half. I've been shoot!

Cleaning up the paint. The bullet were made up by vegetables oil, which that means its more easier to clean the stain.

Board meeting

"He's the terrorist we arrested during the war." - Free Lahad Datu

The Loser - Syawal & Abg Syuaib

And, because both team are strong & full with national spirit, the score is FAIR. 2 - 2

Owh ya, this is the place that we went for our games: SRI AWANA PAINTBALL at Seksyen 15, Bandar Baru Bangi. For more details, do check-in to their blogspot address below:
