Travel Log 2014 - Indonesia

Its a month gap with my previous post. Vitamin M(Malas/Lazy) is taking over my body. LAME EXCUSE.

Because of my highly laziness level, I hereby, will write my travel log after 3 month experienced it.

10 September 2014, Wednesday.

My first mission is to fetch the mothers' (Mak Long, Ibu & Cik Ruby) at KTM Seremban. With their late arrival due to the bus delay cause me to waited for 2 hours. Then, because I hated waiting, I took a step to the KTM's surau, perform my Zuhur & Asar prayer and later on organizing all the untidy telekung and sejadah. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO RESPECT THE HOLY PLACE READERS.

At 8 pm, I still have an online examination for entrance W41. Alhamdullillah.

11 September 2014, Thursday.

Our flight will be depart early in the morning. Around 7 I guess. Since it is an international flight, we have to be in the airport 2 hours before the depart time, which we have to perform our Subuh prayer in KLIA.  We are flying with Malaysia Airlines (MAS) to show our support. Everything went smoothly, just a few incident because of the weather, makes the aircraft shaking. Don't worry. The pilots knows how to handle the situations. *Thumbs Up

Tiptop services from the crew as well!!!

As schedule, we arrived at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on time. Pak Dedy, the one who is responsible as our tourist guide cum driver has been waiting for us a head. Bandung, is first on the list. The journey took for about 3-4 hours plus traffic jam. We used Puncak as the route. Climbing the hills, viewing the tea plantations, the kampung house, the schools and etc. Our first lunch is Nasi Padang. I am not into that cuisine. Sorry. After lunch, we perform Zuhur & Asar in Masjid Al- Awih. The mosque is just next to the restaurant.

Our first lunch in Indonesia - Nasi Padang

After lunch - Kebuluq memasing

Performing Zuhur & Asar here

We reached Bandung around 5 pm local time. Though its just 5, the place just getting dark. We stayed in new open hotel in Bandung named De'Batara. The room is spacious, nice and clean. WiFi provided. Late at night we walk around the town and bought our dinner in Nasi Padang restaurant located in front of the hotel.

Having dinner together. Clean up and praying. Sleep.

12 September 2014. Friday.

For today, the plan is to visit one of the tourist attraction near Bandung, Tangkuban Perahu. Tangkuban Perahu is a dormant volcano and there a myth about the place. The volcano last erupted in 1983. Though the place comes with sulfur smells, the scenery itself is beautiful. But it is quite annoying when travelling in Indonesia where the salesmen kept on getting in our ways asking us to buy their thing. Luckily Pak Dedy reminds us before hand that if let say we want to buy some souvenir, we must buy in the the stall because it is more cheaper and the price is negotiable. I bought 3 Hello Kitty bracelet for my niece & a tasbih for myself.

Experiencing the warm sulfuric water

Cakkkk!!!

Cak again~~~

Next on the schedule is Ciater HotSpring. The park filled with small pools in which we can sit or swim. We just choose to sit because we did not bring any extra clothes. The streams and the pools are fed by warm mineral spring, created by the heat from the nearby volcano, Tangkuban Perahu with 30 minutes distance. The warm water is good for healing skin problem and can heal rheumatism. Step by step guide is provided by the worker when we entering the warm sulfurous water. It does makes my body feel lighter after resting my feet in it.

This pool is for the one who wants to seek for a life partner

We continue our journey after Friday prayer and went to find for a place for lunch. We searched for the Nasi Ayam Penyet Surabaya located near Pasar Baru. The sambal is JUST AWESOME!Then we when to Pasar Baru for some shopping. Later at night, we walked again around the city and spent the last days in Bandung while eating instant noodles - Chef.

13 September 2014, Saturday.

Breakfast as usual. Then we headed to Jakarta, but stopped by in Ci Baduyut to bought the leather product. Along bought Iman a red boots, Angah bought a wallet and Ibu bought a pair of shoe for herself. Having lunch in the R&R serving Nasi Padang. We arrived at Jakarta around 4 pm. The rooms quite a mess and the toilet is not preferable for me. Rasuna Mansion is beautiful from outside and just okay inside. Our rooms just to far separated in different level.

Enough story about the hotel. We take some rest and perform the prayer. Before Maghrib, we went to Masjid Istiqlal. The mosque is too big, and you can noticed a church is located directly opposite of the road, built as big as the mosque. Thousand of crowd inside the mosque which is good but the place is a bit unclean and organize.

After a while in the mosque, we headed for the Monas. Monas is a popular national monument with it gold-platted topped flames in symbolizing the struggling they have to face for their independence. We stuck in traffic jam due to some celebration held in the park near Monas. In respond to it, we're having our dinner late at night eating KFC and some leftover instant noodles.

14 September 2014, Sunday.

It a nightmares for me. I am having diarrhea which for the whole day, I need to go to the toilet for almost 17 times. My whole body just can't stand the situation which makes me really sicks. Early in the morning I do throw-out for 3 times. Only takes fruits and milk for my breakfast because I just can't take the other meal. Then we headed to another shopping place in Tanah Abang. The mother's do bought lots of thing such as clothes, pant, telekung, and as for me; swimming suit.

Lunch with never last Nasi Padang. and continue our trip to another shopping destination, Mangga Dua, Since tomorrow is our last day in Indonesia, the mothers' spent most of the money in Mangga Dua to bought all the souvenir. Back to back shopping for the mothers', later at night, straight from Mangga Dua mall, we went to Ambassador mall situated near to our hotel. Eating Nasi Ayam Penyet to fulfill Mak Long request and then walked thoroughly in the mall. With 5% energy left, we went back to the hotel and sleep.

15 September 2014, Monday.

The mothers' went to Pasar Mistik to bought some empeng. Along and I did not follow because I need to recharge my energy back. After having breakfast, we went straight to the room and I took another deep sleep. A few hours later, start packing up and check out from the hotel. Our last destination is for lunch is Ratu Kuring, while having lunch, I just realize that I lost my purse and Pak Dedy drove us back to the hotel to find back my wallet, but unfortunately, I can't trace my wallet. Redha with it, we straight to Seokarno Airport.

Back in Malaysia. Selamat Hari Malaysia - 16 September 2014

I miss my bed, Malaysian cuisine, home, cousins, and the hectic life in my beloved country, Malaysia as I just went for travel for about 5 days and 4 nights. I learned that I am lucky to be Malaysian. The experience living in another place do give me a lot of impact in my daily life which I suppose did not have to feel burden with what i have to face now compared with the children/adult in Indonesia to makes for their living.

No more idea, better stop here.

Ngantok!

Assalamualaikum.
